FisheryProgress.org

The world’s leading website for tracking Fishery Improvement Projects.

FisheryProgress, a project of FishChoice, serves as a critical data management and visualization platform trusted by project leaders and corporations with significant sustainability commitments worldwide. The platform represents one of the most sophisticated data management challenges in the sustainability sector, requiring multiple specialized interfaces tailored to distinct stakeholder groups while maintaining data integrity across complex use cases.

The system tracks year-over-year performance across comprehensive sustainability metrics, from habitat preservation to labor rights, encompassing hundreds of active projects globally. This data infrastructure enables organizations to demonstrate measurable progress, secure impact investment capital, and validate public sustainability commitments with transparent, verifiable metrics.

Digital Timber’s engagement extends far beyond traditional web development. In addition to architecting and implementing the technical platform, we served as Director of Technology for the organization, providing strategic technology leadership and acting as a public representative for the initiative. This comprehensive role encompasses both hands-on technical execution and high-level organizational technology strategy, ensuring the platform’s continued evolution meets the growing demands of the global sustainability accountability landscape.

Solidaridad

Sharing knowledge through a network of sustainability-focused best practices websites.

Solidaridad operates a global network of sustainable growers across key commodity sectors including coffee, sugar, cocoa, and palm oil. The organization sought a scalable web solution to address two essential objectives: establishing dedicated websites for each crop vertical while maintaining cost efficiency, and providing growers worldwide with a secure platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration on sustainable practices.

Digital Timber developed a comprehensive site template solution built on open-source platforms, enabling rapid deployment across multiple crop categories. The template architecture allows for seamless customization, from color schemes to content adaptation, ensuring each site maintains clear brand alignment with the Solidaridad network while functioning as an independent resource for its specific commodity focus.

Each deployment features a dual-access structure: a public-facing interface for stakeholder engagement and storytelling, complemented by a secure member area where growers can initiate discussions, share insights, and participate in collaborative learning. This creates genuine communities of practice that transcend geographical boundaries and foster continuous knowledge exchange among sustainable agriculture practitioners.

Oregon Humane Society

The Oregon Humane Society (OHS) stands as Oregon’s largest animal shelter and among the most significant in the Pacific Northwest, finding homes for nearly 12,000 animals in 2024 alone.

With thousands of individual donors supporting their mission, OHS recognized the need for a more sophisticated approach to donor relationship management. They made the strategic decision to consolidate their contact management within Salesforce, enabling enhanced outreach capabilities, streamlined communication, and comprehensive tracking of donor engagement patterns.

Digital Timber served as the dedicated product manager throughout this critical CRM implementation and data migration process. We functioned as the primary liaison between OHS’s internal stakeholders and the contracted development team, ensuring clear communication and aligned objectives at every stage. Large-scale CRM migrations involve numerous interconnected components and tight coordination. We provided the strategic oversight and project management expertise to navigate these complexities successfully.
